Imperial Springs International Forum


Imperial Springs International Forum was co-founded by the Australia-China Friendship and Exchange Association and The Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries in 2014 with the approval from the Chinese central government. Held in the beautiful Imperial Springs International Convention Center in Conghua, Guangzhou, the forum serves as an important platform for people-to-people diplomacy and international exchange. It aims to promote dialogue and understanding among different parties through discussions on important topics in international peace and common prosperity, economic development and cultural exchange, thereby furthering regional and global cooperation.
The 2018 Imperial Springs International Forum was held in Guangzhou from December 10 to 11, 2018. Vice President Wang Qishan made a special trip to the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech. The leaders of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government and the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee, and the Municipal Government also attended the opening ceremony. With the theme of “Advancing Reform and Opening-Up, Promoting Win-win Cooperation, the forum invited 40 former heads of state and government and leaders of international organizations, 80 authoritative experts and business leaders to discuss relevant topics in depth and produced fruitful results. On December 12, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with the 40 former heads of state and government, and leaders of international organizations who attended the 2018 Imperial Springs International Forum at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping pointed out that this year's Imperial Springs International Forum was held at the time when the Chinese people celebrated the 40th anniversary of Reform and Opening up, which was considered a second revolution for China.
